All the big innovations in management are decades old and ill-suited for today's pace of technological change, management guru Gary Hamel writes. "Management, like the combustion engine, is a mature technology that must now be reinvented for a new age," he writes. We need to be as good at innovating as we are at operating, Hamel believes, and recognize the manager has duties beyond creating shareholder value.
