BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion still has its eye on Certicom, doubling its original offer for the encryption-technology company to $106.5 million in an effort to outmaneuver VeriSign, which bid $72 million for the company. While VeriSign has until Feb. 11 to increase its offer, most observers say they feel the company will drop out of the bidding in recognition of RIM's deep war chest.
