The appointment of venture capitalist Karen Mills to lead the Small Business Administration has caused the American Small Business League to doubt President Barack Obama's support of small businesses. The previous administration channeled billions of dollars in federal contracts to large corporations through the SBA, which is supposed to help small firms. Now, millionaire and billionaire venture capitalists could get a share of government contract work through the SBA if they are included in the definition of small business.
