The TSA announced Tuesday that Tulsa International Airport will be the first test site for $170,000 body-image scanners used as the sole screening device on airline passengers. In previous tests, passengers first passed through a metal detector before being subjected to the newer millimeter wave machines capable of detecting liquid and plastic explosives. Within two months, the tests will be expanded to airports in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Albuquerque and Salt Lake City, the TSA said.
