Any pilot knows how different things look from the air, and David Sievert has made a second career of showing the Earth-bound what they're missing. Sievert is an award-winning photographer who swept the 2009 Professional Aerial Photographers Association print competition with his picture of a three-mile-wide drawing scratched into a dry lake bed. A pilot with 31 years' experience, Sievert has been flying a Cessna 172 since 1983.
