Baskin-Robbins is offering its classic Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream as its August Flavor of the Month. The flavor is made up of a vanilla and chocolate swirl with a caramel ribbon. "We love honoring our classic flavors that have delighted ice cream lovers for years, and Gold Medal Ribbon is no exception," said Stan Frankenthaler, Baskin-Robbins executive chef and vice president of innovation for Dunkin’ Brands.
A Mars campaign by TBWA/Chiat/Day for the Snickers brand introduces Snacklish, the vocabulary of snacking. All words get a Snickers twist, so a taxi becomes a "snaxi," and basketball great Patrick Ewing becomes Patrick Chewing.
Through Dec. 28, customers buying frozen drinks at Baskin-Robbins will get a second one at half-price. "We want to help families continue celebrating at Baskin-Robbins even during these tough times," an executive said.
Baskin-Robbins has partnered with The Hershey Company to introduce nine new Candy Bar Madness ice cream treats, including ice cream, sundaes, shakes and ice cream cakes made with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Kissables, Kisses and Heath Bar Crunch. Baskin-Robbins announced the partnership on the heels of its Candy Bar Madness survey, which found 47% of Americans agree chocolate is the ultimate candy bar ingredient and 39% eat at least one candy bar a week.
