Analysts have begun evaluating the lessons and legacy of the Eclipse 500, a VLJ that seemed destined to transform the general aviation market until its parent company was forced into liquidation proceedings last week. One company official claims Eclipse created a whole new aviation category, but critics say the company promised more than it could ever deliver.
