Photovoltaic panels manufacturer Solyndra will receive a $535 million federal loan guarantee that will help fund construction of a manufacturing plant. The guarantee is part of the federal economic-stimulus package, which could finance up to $60 billion in loan guarantees. Solyndra Vice President Kelly Truman said the company will use private equity to fund the portion of the plant not covered by the loan guarantee.
