Atlanta-based Georgia Cancer Coalition has selected Medicity technology to power a health information exchange system designed to collect, evaluate and report de-identified patient information related to quality standards from hospitals and community centers that provide cancer care. The not-for-profit group will implement the statewide HIE in three phases within nine to 12 months. Medicity's platform aligns with the coalition's goal of boosting quality of care and bolstering "translational research," GCC's chief executive said.
