The Empire State Development board this week approved a plan to renovate and expand the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The project, which will cost $463 million, includes replacing the roof with a green one, repairs and upgrades to building systems and a 100,000-square-foot expansion. The Public Authorities Control Board still needs to give its approval.
