Companies receiving taxpayer-supported rescue funds are fearful of the political fallout from a flap over bonuses paid to executives at American International Group. Those firms fear they will face higher taxes and reduced access to federal funds. "What's criminal about (it) is that their greed and arrogance will undermine our efforts -- as Congress, as citizens, as business -- to rebuild this economy and restore confidence," said Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.
