As North Dakota's Red River rises to record levels, a Predator UAV on loan from the Department of Homeland Security is being used for the first time to survey flood damage. "We think it will help the emergency management folks pinpoint the areas they have to pay the most attention to," a DHS spokesman says. At least two missions are being flown, and before-and-after videos shot by the drone aircraft will allow emergency management personnel to quickly spot problem areas.
