The battle over proposed small-business tax increases erupted as soon as President Barack Obama's proposed $3.55 trillion budget for fiscal 2010 was released on Thursday. While Robert Greenstein, executive director of the liberal-leaning Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, said small businesses will fall in love with it, leading Republicans and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said it will punish them and diminish chances for economic growth and new jobs.
