The federal economic-stimulus package will provide $261 million for New York bridge and transportation projects, officials said. It will contribute $47.2 million to a $328 million project to repaint and rebuild ramps on the Brooklyn Bridge. It will also provide $175 million for the replacement of seven bus and car ramps for the St. George Ferry Terminal on Staten Island. Smaller bridge projects will also receive funding from the federal program. More than 32,000 jobs are expected to be created.
