Nielsen stats list Twitter as the fastest-growing member community on the Internet during the past year. Between February 2008 and February 2009, Twitter went from 475,000 users to 7,038,000 or an increase of 1,382%.
BASF has applied for permits with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to build a methane-to-propylene facility in Freeport, Texas. The facility would have an annual capacity of 475,000 metric tons. BASF said it plans to make a final investment decision on the project next year.

Baltimore reports that it is more than halfway to its goal of booking 475,000 future hotels rooms for the current fiscal year. The Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association reports that its sales team has booked 301,800 nights, or 63.5% of its target, midway through its fiscal year, and experts say the August opening of the 757-room Hilton Convention Center Hotel helped boost the numbers.
