Warning that more production cuts are possible, Airbus CEO Thomas Enders on Thursday called for additional support from governments to help airlines take delivery of planes they have on order. Rather than a direct government bailout for manufacturers, Enders urged more financing availability for customers, similar to France's pledge of $6.6 billion in loans for Airbus customers. A European aerospace group estimates buyers this year could fall up to $20 billion short of the financing they need for some 1,000 aircraft on order from both Airbus and Boeing Co.
