Federal Trade Commission guidelines that would hold companies responsible for untruthful claims by some bloggers and social-network users would punish ordinary citizens, Tom Hespos writes. Although he notes that he understands that undisclosed corporate shilling is not a good thing, the result of the FTC guidelines might be that "we won't be able to turn to one another for product advice."
