The Dixie Chopper Eco-Eagle debuted as the first lawn mower powered by natural gas at the Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference in Orlando. The company developed the lawn mower after urging by a Kansas City official who wanted to make the city's fleet of lawn mowers more friendly to the environment. The Eco-Eagle mower, which can cut up to eight acres an hour, can be powered for up to 7 1/2 hours by two tanks of natural gas.
