NorthGate Constructors last month won a contract to develop, design and build up to 14.4 miles of the DFW Connector in Texas. The Texas Transportation Commission has designated $250 million in federal stimulus funds for the project, which will relieve congestion and accommodate a projected increase in traffic. Meanwhile, the state DOT and others have identified $667 million in public funds for construction of the Connector.
