Four international airlines are urging the UN to crack down on carbon emissions. "If airlines don't propose something credible environmentally but also that works well for them economically, then they will get saddled with some other option," says Mark Kenber, policy director of The Climate Group, which joined with Air France/KLM, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Virgin Atlantic in backing a global scheme for carbon trading.
