Green & Black's has revamped the packaging for its chocolate bars, adding colors that reflect the flavors of each bar. It will unveil the new designs in June and support the change with an ad campaign later in the year.
Even after several major food recalls in recent years, many Americans say they don't search for recalled products in their homes. While 84% of those surveyed said they pay close attention to recall news, only 60% said they search for products that have been recalled.
Stevia, which recently won Food and Drug Administration approval for use in food and drinks, is competing against sweeteners with loyal followings. But it has an advantage over aspartame, sucralose and saccharin because it is derived from a plant and is being marketed as natural.
