A study of 89 children ages 3 to 6 found that 22% of those who snored at least once or twice a week had mood disorder symptoms such as depression and anxiety, compared with 11% of those who did not snore. Snoring also was linked to cognitive impairment, such as attention and language problems. The researchers found no link between snoring and behavioral problems such as aggressive or hyperactive behavior.
