Hormone replacement therapy may reduce a woman's risk of developing colon cancer by 28%, one study of 41,836 women found. Researchers said they don't know how estrogen compounds work in preventing cancer but called the findings "intriguing." A separate study of 62,000 women showed those who used HRT had a 27% lower risk of colon cancer.
