WPP Group agency Young & Rubicam has formed an alliance with independent in-store advertising specialty shop Mars Advertising. Under the arrangement, Y&R clients will be able to take advantage of Mars' expertise in creating marketing and promotions in the retail environment. According to Veronis Suhler Stevenson Partners, marketers spent $20.8 billion on U.S. in-store marketing in 2008.
