A new search engine, www.recipebridge.com, aims to provide more recipe options by linking to smaller sites as well as the large ones such as Food Network and Epicurious. Searches tap more than 1.4 million recipes from some 200 sites, including recipe blogs, with new ones being added.
The entire egg -- not just the whites -- can offer the most nutrition. The yolk is rich in vitamins A and E, folate, calcium and iron. Skeptical egg-white eaters can compromise by substituting half eggs and half egg whites in recipes for dishes such as a Mexican-style frittata.
David Munoz, whose DiverXO restaurant in Madrid is booked months in advance, combines Asian and Spanish cuisines in signature dishes such as Spanish omelet dim sum and black cod with cider and Chinese honey. "It's not an easy match, but with creativity, it's possible and the results are fantastic," he says.
