A federal health study found that the seasonal flu vaccine doesn't protect against the H1N1 influenza strain and that people older than 60 seem to have a pre-existing immunity to the strain. The findings may help health officials decide on whether to make available a vaccine for the new flu virus. The CDC has confirmed 5,764 cases of the swine flu and nine deaths linked to the virus in the U.S.
