A survey of nearly 600 U.S. adults found fewer than 40% had access to company wellness programs. Rutgers University researchers reported only 25% of employees with just a high school education were offered wellness programs through their jobs, compared with almost half of those with a college degree. Larger companies, with more than 250 employees, also were more likely to offer benefits such as programs to reduce weight, quit smoking or manage chronic disease.
