Hampered by an industry-wide downturn, two regional airline companies reported weak first-quarter results on Wednesday. ExpressJet, which operates most of its fleet on behalf of Continental Airlines, said revenue decreased 62.1%, though its overall loss of $11.4 million was better than year-ago levels. SkyWest, a regional partner with Delta Airlines and United Airlines, reported a 22% revenue slide, due in part to a voluntary grounding of 60 jets at its Atlantic Southeast Airlines division.
