With no strong signs of the downturn for the business jet market reversing any time soon, aviation companies in Wichita, Kan., are working to find new ways to sell aircraft and to preserve jobs. Companies such as Bombardier Aerospace are tweaking their marketing strategies and stepping up efforts to help boost business, and Hawker Beechcraft has taken the approach of running more ads in The Wall Street Journal and fewer ads in trade magazines.
