Two Arkansas women will be among 35 teams to compete in the all-female 2009 Air Race Classic, the world's only all-female transcontinental air race, taking place tomorrow through Friday. The race dates back to 1929, when 20 female pilots, including Amelia Earhart, participated, and humorist Will Rogers dubbed the event the "Powder Puff Derby." This year will be the third time Arkansas pilots Laura Berry and Camelia Smith have participated.
