Three office buildings are now under construction on Boston's waterfront and are the first to be added to the city since 2004, according to the Boston Redevelopment Authority. Meanwhile, developers say the economic downturn and credit crisis may put plans to build more office space on hold for at least three years. In 2008, 250 construction projects worth $12 billion were planned for the city, and now just 25% of the projects are under construction.
