Columnist Christopher Elliott, who says he has a bias toward nonsmoking, explains how a couple of decades ago, the travel industry accommodated smokers, allowing them to smoke in hotel rooms, restaurants, rental cars and flights. Now, the pendulum has swung the other way, possibly too far, Elliott argues. "Have we gone too far?" he asks. "Do smokers have to start their own airline in order to escape from our collective tyranny?"
