The FAA has certified a high-speed Internet system designed by Broomfield, Colo.-based Aircell Inc. for use in business aviation jets. The system, which allows passengers to access the Internet through Wi-Fi-enabled devices, is already in use on major airlines through a commercial airline version called Gogo Inflight Internet, and the first installation in a business jet was completed by Midcoast Aviation aboard a Bombardier Challenger 6005 aircraft.
