Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing named Charles Li, chairman of JPMorgan Chase's business in China, as its impending CEO. By doing so, HKEx bolstered its relationship with the mainland market. Li will succeed Paul Chow, who will step down in January. The bourse said Li will bring an "in-depth understanding and insight of the developments of China's capital markets, and his broad-based network of relationships in China would further enhance HKEx's competitiveness in this challenging time".
