Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty vetoed anti-bullying legislation that would have introduced sexual orientation along with 13 other classifications as protected groups when it comes to bullying. Out state Sen. Scott Dibble, DFL-Minneapolis, the author of the bill, criticized the governor' veto, saying, "This shows he lacks compassion for the experiences of young people in our schools who are being bullied and harassed."
