The New Meadowlands Stadium Co. this week agreed to use green construction practices to build a $1.6 billion stadium in New Jersey. The stadium, which will incorporate recycled steel and plastic, has the potential to serve as a model for new sports venues, according to the EPA. The company also promised to recycle 75% of construction waste and reduce the amount of water the stadium uses each year by 25%.
