The NIH awarded a two-year research grant worth $500,000 to ThermoGenesis to study and develop biomaterials that can be used in stem cell delivery. In collaboration with the University of California, Davis, ThermoGenesis will work to develop "an integrated cell-processing and delivery system designed to achieve an optimal therapeutic effect in orthopedic applications, such as bone repair and generation," CEO Mel Engle said.
