In a New York Times op-ed, Stanford University Prof. Lawrence M. Wein argues that terrorists will strike at the U.S. through the channel that offers the weakest resistance. To make their job more difficult, he seems to suggest 100% screening for air and maritime cargo throughout North America, and he doesn't stop there: "Given the impracticality of shooting down a tiny aircraft before it could detonate a bomb from the air, the best approach is to begin screening all domestic departures of small airplanes," he writes.
