Kellogg has introduced Corn Flakes with a Touch of Honey, meant to appeal to Hispanic consumers and the older-than-55 demographic. The packaging of the new cereal contains the line "Touch of Honey" in English and Spanish.
Powell's Candy Shoppe in Laguna Niguel, Calif., is ringing in its first year. To celebrate, it will give away 1,000 Wonka Bars, five of which will have a golden ticket for a year's worth of free candy.
New print ads by H.J. Heinz note that the company's vinegars don't contain petroleum, even though federal regulations allow petroleum to be used in vinegar-making without notice on the label. The aggressive ad is meant to set the brand apart at a time of increased competition from private labels.
