Local mobile ad sales will jump from $160 million in 2008 to $3.1 billion in 2013, and mobile search will total $2.3 billion, BIA's The Kelsey Group is reporting. "Going Mobile: The Mobile Local Media Opportunity" also found local search will increase from 27.8% of all queries last year to 35.1% in 2013.
