A scientist at McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, created two injection systems that enable the delivery of drugs directly to delicate areas of the brain at a controlled rate. Miles Cunningham, director of the laboratory for neural reconstruction at the hospital, said he is looking for a partner to launch the intracerebral microinjection instrument as well as his experimental heated-fluid transfer system, which regulates the volume and rate of drug delivery.
