A study of data on more than 350,000 men and women evaluated intake of fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy, whole grains, lean meat and poultry, and fat and found that closer adherence to dietary guidelines was linked with longer life. Participants with the healthiest eating habits were 25% less likely to die over a 10-year period.
