Symantec is readying an expansion into the Software-as-a-Service market that company President Enrique Salem predicts will account for 15% of revenue by 2014. Although details about the plan are still sketchy, Salem told attendees of Symantec's Financial Analyst Day event Thursday that the company is working on a cloud storage platform as well as a variety of host- and hybrid cloud-based SaaS offerings expected to launch later this year.
