Around 3 million Atlanta residents may have to find another source of drinking water besides Lake Lanier as a result of a federal lawsuit. A U.S. District Court judge ruled last week that the majority of Georgia's withdrawals from the lake were illegal because the lake was intended for hydroelectric power. Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue vowed to appeal the court's decision rather than settle with Florida and Alabama.
