Dow Chemical has announced plans to close three chemical plants in Louisiana as part of its continued restructuring. A restructuring plan announced in late 2008 already has involved the closure of a number of production units. The plants to close in Louisiana are an ethylene cracker in Hahnville, an ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant, also in Hahnville, and an ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride monomer facility in Plaquemine.
