U.S. District Judge Ann Montgomery has ruled that a wrongful arrest lawsuit filed by six Muslim spiritual leaders prevented from boarding a US Airways jet in November 2006 will continue. Law enforcement officers detained the men at the Minneapolis airport after a fellow passenger grew concerned by their pre-flight prayers and requests for seatbelt extenders. "The right not to be arrested in the absence of probable cause is clearly established and, based on the allegations... no reasonable officer could have believed that the arrest of the Plaintiffs was proper," the judge ruled.
