House lawmakers have not reached an agreement on funding for a large transportation bill that would give $450 billion over six years to states to upgrade infrastructure. Lawmakers say the bill is unlikely to pass before October, and The Wall Street Journal says "Congress is likely to extend the current annual spending level of about $50 billion, before it expires in September, following the White House's suggestion." AGC says the new bill could create an estimated 616,000 construction jobs annually.
