A storm-water-runoff project in Robinson, Pa., has not met with approval from the state's Department of Environmental Protection. The DEP initially wanted the water piped away, but that was more costly than the town wanted. So instead, the project diverted runoff that flowed through an abandoned mine to storm drains along the township's roads. Engineer Mike Meyer says the method works fine and hopes to take photos to prove that to the DEP.
