U.S. infrastructure spending will fall 4.3% in 2009 despite the economic-stimulus package, according to a new report from IHS Global Insight's Construction Service. The report also predicts infrastructure spending will drop 1.6% in 2010 before picking up by 2.4% in 2011. The report also forecasts a 10.2% drop in transportation construction for 2009.
