J Sainsbury has introduced thousands of nonfood products, including home electronics, toys, furniture and kitchenware, on its Web site. The retailer's site also has advice on high-tech products and a tool for comparing prices. The development "further emphasizes that nonfood is key to Sainsbury's growth strategy for the future," said Mike Coupe, trading director for the U.K. retailer.
